The power of a smile!!! Diving deep into client-supplied research, we noticed Avis Budget Group saw a dramatic increase in positive consumer interactions with their car rental business when their associates did one simply thing… they smiled at the begin of each client interaction. Simple right? Just smile! The percentage was so glaringly dramatic that we felt compelled to build the entire employee engagement campaign around this simple human gesture. In addition to a campaign launch, the real driving force to the success of this program was getting and retaining early employee buy-in. We started by completely reinvigorated this employee engagement initiative with an energized kick-off presentation. Followed by a newly branded campaign and a strong messaging theme, this program became an instant favorite for all ABG constituents. Marketing support materials, performance incentives and social media assistance were added, in addition we recommended new engagement concepts to not only increase the campaign effectiveness but to also maintain excitement throughout the entire campaign’s duration.
